London Business School's Private Equity/Venture Capital Club would like to welcome new MBA, EMBA, MIF, PhD, IEP and Sloan students to London Business School.

Overview

With over 2,700 members, including 700 current student members, and regular educational events and speakers, the PE/VC club is among the most active of the School's clubs. We provide a forum for students interested in all aspects and stages of Private Equity and Venture Capital, and help them develop the skills and knowledge necessary to build careers in these sectors.

Our Aim

• Build awareness of London Business School within Private Equity and Venture Capital
• Educate our members and provide them with the tools to enter the industry
• Increase recruitment opportunities by strengthening our alumni and practitioners network

Our activities

• Speaker Series: Throughout the year, the Club hosts a series of speaker events, inviting firms from Private Equity and Venture Capital to showcase their firm, activities, team and transactions. Participating firms span the industry and have included principal Private Equity and Venture Capital investors, institutional investors, legal and tax advisors and academics
• Educational Events: The Club organises a range of events to educate students about Private Equity and Venture Capital. Events include Private Equity 101, Venture Capital 101, LBO Modelling I and II, Deal Structuring, Associate Panels and Recruitment Speaker Events
• Conference: Scheduled for mid-February 2010, this keystone event invites Private Equity and Venture Capital practitioners and investors to discuss current topics and to hear from London Business School`s world class faculty. Previous participating firms have included KKR, Carlyle, 3i, Oaktree, TPG, Apax, Permira, Warburg Pincus, Acits and Bain Capital. • Recruitment: We bring recruiters and students together through a variety of events including both Private Equity and Venture Capital firms and specialist recruiters.  In the past, students have secured internships with firms such as Terra Firma, Goldman Sachs PIA, Abraaj, Montagu Private Equity, Tishman Speyer, Mudabala, Warburg Pincus, Amadeus and many more
